Place a strip of transparent tape across the widest part of your natural nail.
Press the tape firmly into both sidewalls of the nail.
Mark the left and right edges of the nail on the tape with a fine-tip pen.
Peel the tape off and lay it flat on a ruler.
Measure the distance between the two marks in millimetres.
Repeat for all ten nails — every finger is different.
